DATALAN Company, a.s. (joint-stock company) became a 100% owner of the Euroaltis assets - the Company which is an important software and services provider for the local-government segment. By buying Euroaltis, DATALAN Company became one of the biggest and most experienced suppliers of local government solutions, which it delivers under the name  DATALAN Digital City.    

Euroaltis Company is a supplier of the KORWIN local government information system, which is used by more than 30% of Slovak cities. The Company also delivers advisory and consulting services in implementation, operation and development of information systems. DATALAN is the provider of innovative business solutions and IT services in the area of software and info-communication solutions, IT outsourcing and consulting. By combination of skills and experience of both companies we will have the strongest team in Slovakia with specialization for needs of cities and municipalities, but other local government institutions, too. By merging the portfolios of both companies we will simultaneously meet with the integral and attested solution for effective functioning of cities and municipalities - that is, DATALAN Digital City.

Until the end of 2009, Euroaltis will operate as a joint-stock company, but its 100% shareholder will be DATALAN. From after January 1, 2010, Euroaltis will cease to exist as a separate joint-stock company and will be fully incorporated into the organizational structure of DATALAN. Customers of both companies will thus have a strong and stable partner. The key Company's product - the KORWIN local government information system - will be incorporated into the DATALAN Digital City and will thus supplement its modules. The KORWIN system will be supported for use by present and future customers also after it gets incorporated into the DATALAN Digital City solution.

The operation of local government as a digital city is based upon several pillars.
